The Genetic Literacy Project (GLP) has launched the Global Gene Editing Regulation Tracker, an online tool that monitors gene-edited products and processes that are approved or in development and their regulatory status, within the fields of 1) agriculture, 2) human/health, and 3) gene drives. This is a valuable tool, showing the diversity across various jurisdictions for this rapidly expanding and evolving technology. According to this tool, the EU is classified as “Mostly prohibited” for agricultural applications in food/crops and animals. Check it out here.
