The 3rd PlantEd Conference (COST Action 18111) will be held over three days, with open scientific sessions on genome editing technology in plants, followed by PlantEd Working Group (WG) sessions and a Management Committee (MC) meeting. The conference will be a hybrid event, with a limited number of participants (100 under current COVID-19 rules) physically present, combined with live streaming (up to 500 participants via the Talque platform). The PlantEd conference, a network for plant genome editing research across Europe and beyond, is an excellent platform for disseminating information, discussion, and connections and updating the latest research and innovation.

Topics to be covered: The conference will feature sessions on the three main questions: What do we know about genome editing in plants? What can we achieve with genome editing? and What do we think about the application of genome editing in plants? Keynote lectures will introduce the respective topics, followed by speakers selected from the submitted abstracts. Emphasis will be placed on early career researchers (ECR). We strive for gender balance and other forms of diversity. Therefore, we encourage everyone to submit abstracts for oral presentations.

The conference is logistically and financially supported by CEPLAS (https://www.ceplas.eu/en/home/).
