PlantEd – COST Action CA18111 – Genome editing in plants

Special issue in Agronomy dedicated to plant genome editing

Genome editing is a technology with great potential, allowing rapid genetic alterations at a level of precision not seen before. The corresponding capacity for improved plant research and crop trait management will provide important economic and environmental benefits for our society in all the abovementioned sectors.

A Special issue in the scientific journal Agronomy (impact factor 2.603, ISSN 2073-4395) is now dedicated to all the plant genome editing research being carried out by participants in the COST Action PlantEd, and by others. This is a great opportunity to publish a joint collection of articles based on the research presented at the PlantEd conferences of Nov 2019 and March 2021.

Guest Editors are Dr. Dennis Eriksson (Action Chair), Dr. Ruud de Maagd (WG1 vice leader), Dr. Thorben Sprink (WG5 leader) and Dr. Angelo Santino (2nd PlantEd conference local organiser).

Deadline for full manuscript submission is 15 May 2021.
